St John's Church KnockaineySt. John’s Church, Knockainey

St. John’s is now the cultural hub of Knockainey hosting a series of concerts annually. The Church has been lovingly restored by the historical and conservation society of Knockainey and work is now complete on the restoration and upgrading of the Sexton’s House at the front of the Church providing further facilities for both audience and performer.

A night of song & traditional music from west Kerry & Clare with Kate Purcell & Brendan Begley. Saturday May 15th 8pm.

All held on Saturdays

May 8th 11am-1pm

Drumming workshop…introduction to the skills of traditional hand drumming

Photography workshop

Pond life fishing & bird watching with Geoff Hunt (you will need: wellies, fishing net & plastic bottle with lid removed)

Welcome to the South East Limerick Rural Arts Network September 29, 2009

A first meeting was held in Knockainey recently to establish a rural arts network in the south east of Limerick to bring the arts into the rural areas of the region facilitated by Conor O’ Leary of Rural Arts Network. Communities represented on the night included Knockainey, Bruff, Bulgaden, Lough Gur and Pallasgreen. Its early days but stay tuned of upcoming events in the months to follow!!
